Want to remove your tattoo? Here is how it works….

The first step is to book a Free Consultation with MEDermis Tattoo Removal. During this consultation, a certified laser specialist will help you map out a personalized plan.

The specialist will determine whether the treatment is right for you, tell you what results you can expect, how many sessions you’ll need, the possible side effects and risks and the price for the entire treatment. If there are any doubts regarding skin conditions, you should consult a dermatologist, which is obviously not for free.

Complete tattoo removal usually requires 6 to 12 laser sessions, normally scheduled 6 to 8 weeks apart. However, there are also cases where complete removal only requires 4 sessions, while others require 15. During each session, a certain quantity of ink is broken up and the body flushes out the smallest fragments in the following weeks. As such, the tattoo fades with time. The number of sessions and the time between each session will depend on several factors—which part of the body the tattoo is on, skin type and skin color, colors and types of ink used, how deep the ink goes into the skin, the age of the tattoo and the overall health of the client. Do not expect quick results after the first two or 3 sessions: you need to give it some time!

We always get asked if the procedure is painful.  All of the staff at MEDermis Laser Clinic has been through the removal process, and we have developed a unique numbing technique that prepares the skin.  With this technique and the experience we have, we will do all possible to make each treatment as comfortable as possible. After each treatment, your skin will be red and feel sun-burnt. Blistering may occur and a crust may form over the treated area, eventually disappearing in the days and weeks following the treatment. The probability of these side effects occurring varies from person to person. It’s therefore important to follow the post-treatment care instructions.

At MEDermis Laser Tattoo Removal, the first consultation is always free. If you like the treatment plan, you may chose to have your first session right away, book your session when it is convenient to you or simply walk away!
